St. Mary's School of Nursing

The career goal of the Nursing Program at St. Mary's School of Nursing is to become a Registered Nurse (RN). The Cooperative ASN Program at the school is provided through a partnership of St. Mary's School of Nursing and Marshall University. The length of program is two academic years, and the degree awarded is Associate of Science in Nursing from Marshall University.

Classes are admitted yearly in August, and the application deadline is January 15. Applicants are selected on a competitive basis. Financial Aid is available through Marshall University.

Admission Requirements for High School Applicants

  • High School GPA minimum of 3.00
  • Minimum ACT Composite of 21
  • At least a "C" on any college courses taken

Applicants With at Least 12 College Credits

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum grade of "C" on any non-nursing courses already completed
  • Minimum 2.00 QPA on all college work attempted at Marshall University
  • Minimum overall 2.00 QPA on all college work completed

Cost of the Program

Estimated total (includes tuition at St. Mary's and Marshall University, fees, nursing textbooks and uniforms) for the two years:

  • In-state = $13,000
  • Metro = $16,000
