The Hands of Experience® in Advanced Health Care

Non-Invasive Cardiology

The goal of St. Mary’s non-invasive cardiology department is to detect the presence of a cardiac condition in an individual using modern diagnostic procedures, such as EKG, ECG holter monitoring, nuclear stress tests, echocardiograms, carotid duplex studies and transcranial Doppler studies.

Non-invasive vascular testing techniques performed in St. Mary’s vascular laboratory make possible the early detection of diseases, such as cardiovascular disease and stroke. St. Mary’s Medical Center’s Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Department has been recognized for its high level of patient care and quality testing in the diagnosis of vascular disease.

St. Mary’s Regional Heart Institute laboratories are accredited by their national organizations:

  • The echocardiogram laboratory is an Accredited Echocardiogram Laboratory by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Echocardiography (IAC) for both adult echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms.
  • The vascular laboratory is an Accredited Vascular Laboratory by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Vascular Testing (IAC) for extracranial cerebrovascular testing, peripheral arterial testing and transcranial doppler (TCD).
