St. Mary’s TIPS program to offer free car seat check
(HUNTINGTON)—The Transportation Injury Prevention & Safety program at St. Mary’s Medical Center will be offering a free car seat check Saturday, June 1 in the parking lot of the St. Mary’s Conference Center, 2825 Fifth Avenue.
Certified technicians will inspect children’s car seats and assist with installations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The goal of TIPS is preventing injury from improper and unsafe use in or around motorized and non-motorized recreation vehicles and automobiles, as well as other forms of transportation. Since 2005, St. Mary’s has offered the TIPS program to school-aged children in cooperation with the Nick J. Rahall, II Appalachian Transportation Institute.
