Telemetry
Patients are transferred to Telemetry after a procedure to correct a cardiovascular condition such as heart failure, heart attack, arrhythmia and unstable angina. Those having a procedure to insert a drug-eluting stent or pacemaker also may recover in Telemetry. All patients are monitored continuously by technicians in the hospital’s Monitor Central department.
