St. Mary's and Scott Orthopedic Center joined forces for the center last year, according to a release from St. Mary's. The joint replacement center expanded patient education and care services and this marked the one year anniversary of the new program.

Over the past year the volume of joint replacement patients has more than doubled the number of people getting joint replacements at St. Mary's, the release said.

Drs. Kyle R. Hegg, Vivek Neginhal and Steve Lochow are the three surgeons who perform joint replacement surgeries at the St. Mary's Regional Joint Replacement Center. Lou Ann Waldron, RN, is the patient education coordinator.
