For more than 40 years, St. Mary's Regional Cancer Center has been on the front lines of the battle with cancer. St. Mary's provides a full range of radiation, medical and surgical oncology services. St. Mary's Regional Cancer Center is designated as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons.
St. Mary's Radiation Oncology Department is accredited by the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO). ACRO strives to ensure the highest quality care for radiation therapy patients and promote success in the practice of radiation oncology through education, responsible socioeconomic advocacy, and integration of science and technology into clinical practice. The medical center received the Disease-Specific Care Certification for hip and knee joint replacement. St. Mary's program is the first of its kind in West Virginia and the tri-state region to achieve Disease-Specific Care Certification by the Joint Commission.
