The Neurophysiology Lab, located in St. Mary's Neurophysiology and Regional Sleep Center, offers a wide range of diagnostic testing for neurological conditions. This specialty lab is staffed by skilled technicians who use state-of-the-art equipment to offer the following tests:

• Electroencephalogram (EEG)
• Electromyography (EMG)
• Somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP)
• Otoacoustic emission (OAE)
• Intraoperative monitoring
• Continuous EEG monitoring

The team at St. Mary’s Neurosurgery specializes in advanced brain and spine surgery, including the latest minimally invasive techniques, to help treat conditions such as brain tumors, carpal tunnel syndrome, lower back pain, neck pain, seizures and more.

At St. Mary's Pain Relief Center, physicians and staff work one-on-one with each patient to design and implement a personalized pain management program. New patients begin with an initial evaluation at which time pertinent medical records, X-rays, and other test results are reviewed. The patient is then examined by a physician consultant for an in-depth assessment, followed by development and implementation of a comprehensive pain relief program.

Patients must be referred by a physician to the Pain Relief Center.

St. Mary's Medical Center was the first hospital in West Virginia and the Tri-State region to achieve certification as a Primary Stroke Center in 2004, and the second hospital in West Virginia to achieve Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification in 2019.

The sleep medicine team at St. Mary’s Regional Sleep Center is specially trained to identify and treat all types of sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy and insomnia. The center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
