The St. Mary Center for Education Health Professions Academy provides selected high school students from the Tri-State a firsthand, behind-the-scenes look at health care by shadowing RNs, clinical laboratory scientists, respiratory therapists and medical imaging faculty and observing their responsibilities in both health care settings and in potential disasters.
This year’s Academy is set for Thursday, May 25 and Friday, May 26. The Academy is open to high school sophomores and juniors with a GPA of 2.5 or greater who are interested in a health care career. Applications must be received by May 1.
