The St. Mary’s Medical Center Regional Comprehensive Stroke Center has achieved comprehensive stroke certification through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).
Certification by ACHC reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.
“Achieving recertification by a respected national organization like ACHC is a powerful affirmation of the expert, compassionate care our stroke team delivers every day,” said Christy Franklin, MS, RN, CNRN, director of St. Mary’s Regional Neuroscience Center for MHN. “This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to improving outcomes for stroke patients across our region and directly supports MHN’s mission to improve the health and well-being of all we serve.”
ACHC certification confirms that SMMC is providing high-quality care as determined by an independent, external process of evaluation. A national nonprofit organization with deeming authority from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), ACHC has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986.
