11th Annual Marshall Orthopaedics Joints Jog set for June 13
Tuesday, June 2, 2026
Marshall Orthopaedics will host its annual Joints Jog, a 5k run and one-mile walk, 8 a.m. Saturday, June 13, at Barboursville Park.
Participants will experience a scenic course through the park’s rolling hills with the race starting and finishing at Lake William. Awards will be given to runners and walkers in each of the following categories: top overall, 17 and under, 18-40, 41-64 and 65 and older.
Registration is $30 for runners and $25 for walkers. Registration includes a t-shirt and refreshments. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m.; the race will begin at 8 a.m.
Each year, Marshall Orthopaedics selects a non-profit organization to support through the resident physician-led race. This year, all proceeds will go to benefit Harmony House, a Huntington-based non-profit organization that provides a range of services and support for individuals experiencing homelessness.
“The Joints Jog reflects the spirit of orthopaedics by encouraging people to stay active while giving back to the community,” said Daniel Schodlbauer, M.D., a second-year orthopaedic surgery resident at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and this year’s race coordinator. “This year's event supports Harmony House and the important work they do to serve individuals experiencing homelessness. We invite runners, walkers and families of all ages to join us for a morning of fitness, fellowship and community impact.”
Race sponsors to date include Stryker, Peach Tree Orthopedics, De Puy and Elizur. Additional sponsorships are available. For more information, contact Schodlbauer at schodlbauer@marshall.edu. To register, visit https://tristateracer.com/race/13383.
